Empowerment Engine Test From Concept to Community, April Hamilton Review by Jabez L. Van Cleef, www. sustainyourspirit. com This is a short book, actually closer to what we call "white paper" on how an individual could go about the process of "construction" and hosting her own line community of interest using software freely available. In general, I guess the theory behind approve the book, and beautifully simple implementation, in terms of both form and content. I have a few quibbles that I have, but as the search for random errors, I think you better stop your time here, to buy and read the book. However, if you insist. . . Who is April? I have online as the author of a very informative guide to the ins and outs of publishing on demand. I think I can say she knows a lot about them, and I know more about them after reading this book. But now I have to say, it seems a lot about the psychology of people who want to join the communities of knowing, and hand-to-mouth philosophy of "indie" movement, where it may be manifest, especially in the world of self-published books. We "indie" writers feel sick looking down on so many years of agents and publishers (if they are gracious about us, it is with contempt), and pity all those who knew the manuscript (n) in the wardrobe for work or elsewhere . We are also surprised and grateful that the rich world of "new technology" was suddenly in the past year, has made it possible that we create our own books for next to nothing and sell them on Amazon to publish. com for a fee of five dollars per copy. I'm still shocked, but the dream world of possibilities is seemingly no more, because here in April just told me that I can start a substance similar to Facebook for my own area of interest (reinterpretation of religious texts, poetic world). I do not think I would be surprised. The same "technology" which is the construction of the community appropriate by satisfying the three basic needs identified possible: the individual desires to be enabled, and who wants power without cost and to communicate most of his individuality, the whole world, but especially for those who would really understand. My first quibble is that April did not really give us very little experience on the reasons she wanted to write this book and to help us. And in agreement with the value he is the "human touch", I found myself just a little more back story. In the Middle Ages it was called this the benovolentiae captatio, and it was essentially a short confession of ignorance and humility, the author himself wanted to reassure the reader in advance. Another quibble is that April was not cut much room that we do not know. I know that distinguish this topic full of ambiguities, and people in their level of nerdiness, but I started to blow air on page 35, when she told me that the CMS is installing software from my host server. This indie guys think at this point, should the book in a statement that a host server and how to digress to review the general requirements, advantages and disadvantages, etc. Enough quibbling. In general, I like his humanity left in April of simple ways. Advises readers on page 37 of "Make site users feel at home." It's the kind of attitude that I often go to the "indie" oriented websites (I use the most is www. GarageBand. Com) and in April Bure's beautiful lawyer in Chapter 7 and developed thereafter. For example, she calls the unnecessary obsession with security and passwords often encountered on the company website, and tells us a sort of guideline for the question – if a security feature – that it really is? But behind the friendly, it also shows toughness, including tips to earn very cautious in the last chapter on "Money" their websites that are really worth the price of the book. So, I am a poet, not very excited, and I live in New Jersey, where I self-published 42 tracks and counts on CreateSpace. I advise you, if you want to give an online community, the book in April to build the bargain, because, as Occham the razor is the easiest solution to your problem. Thank you, April. When my arms were three thousand miles long, I would try to kiss you.

April Hamilton was the right place at the right time, when they at the O'Reilly Tools of Change Conference this year. The construction of the online community has a great enthusiasm among the authors and participants of the conference and the conference itself has been was the last A-ha! April time as necessary to maintain its own website in progress www. publetariat. com. In this ebook, April, it basically tells you how to set up the place, the tips have made it so successful in such an early stage, and how to create their methods for such a popular destination of your choice. I usually Crosseyed section of the technology again in the library, let alone anything that mentions RSS, HTML, SEO, etc.. And most of what I am is about computers and the Internet today learned everything through trial and error. But the April 80-page manual easy to follow and not assume that means you already know what these terms. After reading this book, I can honestly say that I have with a better understanding of how I improve my own website and online community to the left. April commencement with simple measures such as riding with a good name ( "A visitor in May to the idea behind the name to remember, but could not remember the name.) Brand your site in the town zoning law, Creating a mission and goal, planning the opening and content management. Every step is written in a matter of Nice, Easy Flow, the easy to follow, divided into small sections, almost like a sketch. I found it easy to navigate through the book, and even easier to go back and remember the steps that would point to it and I find for later use mine. April uses her own website, www. publetariat. com, as the first instance through the whole book, but are also good examples of how their methods on your own blog or online community to adapt. Although he has repeatedly visited Publetariat and I am a member, I am comparing to the page again and again, the procedure described in the book while reading. Every step was taken in April, it is taken on its website for you to see, and some content may, as a given, but these are the steps that some sites, but often forget that Web browsers like I always on the hat seem to be. An example is the "community forum." I love Publetariat forum I have participated, and I regularly check for updates again. But not my own blog does not contain a forum. Thus, while reading the book in April, I asked myself: "Why did not I think?" And you would probably have done the same thing, but not now. Avril has almost every detail that I can think of advertising the goods with the premium subscriptions covered. There's even a section called "How to Get It Wrong." Thus, in April mentioned in the headline. . . They did everything with very little financial investment. It is stated in the book, she has invested in business cards to pass to the conference. The web address is also in a presentation that appeared to contribute routed via Twitter. The rest is history and the history that is less than 3 months because the site is brand new and still growing. I think I visited at least once a day since I signed. April Hamilton Congratulations providing such a valuable tool for indie authors at a time when electronic publishing and online prescence is growing even faster. It is in the right place at the right time. You can too. Author or not, this guide a tool for anyone who need advice as they develop their own online community or by one.
